You can renew your Aadhaar yourself

Self-renewal of Aadhaar-related documents through UIDAI portal will be free till June 14. The current rate of Rs.25 has been waived for 3 months.

UIDAI urges users to update documents even if it is not mandatory to update them after 10 years of Aadhaar. The aim is to increase the accuracy of the data collection.

How about the update on the Aadhaar?

  • Login to the website myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in by entering the Aadhaar number and the OTP received on the registered mobile number.
  • Open the Document Update link and click Next to proceed.
  • Check the name, date of birth, and address on the document update page. Only if this is the same in the documents uploaded will be accepted.
  • Then select Proof of Identity and Proof of Address from the Identity Document menu. 
  • Then click on View details & upload the document and upload the scanned copy of the documents. 
  • The document can be submitted as an image or PDF up to 2 MB.
