Kaivalya is a government subsidy and loan scheme for skills development and self-employment ventures for the differently-abled. This is done through the employment exchange.
Benefits of Kaivalya
The scheme provides loans of up to Rs 50,000 per person to find self-employment. Up to Rs 1 lakh will be provided if required. Group ventures will also be considered. Each member of the group has the opportunity to receive a loan at the same rate. The main attraction is that the government subsidizes up to 50% of the loan. The maximum subsidy is Rs 25,000. Services, small enterprises, trade, and agriculture will all benefit.
Qualifications for apply
- An entrepreneur must be between 21 and 55 years of age.
- Annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2 lakhs.
- There is no compulsory educational qualification. It is enough to know how to read and write.
- Applicants must be registered with the Employment Exchange.
- This Loans will be sanctioned with the involvement of a relative in case of further disability.

- Quotation and Fixed Assets should be submitted with the application.
The application will be examined and approved by the District Level Committee, chaired by the District Collector, and convened by the concerned Regional Employment Officer.
Applicant must have attended an Entrepreneurship Development Training Program. After three months, the loan can be repaid in quarterly installments. The Department of Employment also provides support for the preparation of the design and the running of the institution.
